Spring cleaning is making way for spring creation at Walnut Studios. Artists have begun to build new stretchers, cut new patterns, and lively splashes of pastels colors are hitting the canvas. There is a flurry of artistic activity within this turn-of- the-century canning factory located in the heart of the King West village.
We invite you to come by and catch the inspiration bug and see how the creation process grows.
Spring Fever is an exhibit featuring original art works by a dynamic and diverse group of independent artists.
Guests can enjoy works from a variety of mediums such as:
Paintings
Illustrations/Drawings
Screen prints
Sculpture
Glass
Photography
Film
Jewellery
Clothing
Mixed Media
Our doors are opening so you can catch a rare view of the artist's creative processes; see what inspirations lead to a final product. Our open concept environment showcases the works of 40 artists and well over 300 pieces to view; experience a studio setting that is raw with emotion, informal and free-spirited.
Enjoy a leisurely tour of the studio on Saturday May 14th and gain a new visual perspective, observe the mastery of a medium or join us in the evening for cocktails, video screenings and a live deejay set.
It is going to be a culture club party that you will certainly want to be a part of.

DESCRIPTION
This open studio exhibit will open the doors to 83 Walnut Avenue. Now altered into a spectacular artist studio space, with over 40 artists under one roof; this unique turn of the century canning factory is now an exciting inspiring home for local artists.
Come and see where art is created. Interact with the artists in the creative space before the gallery. That mythical artist's room; where sketch books with initial ideas lay beside finished works, where magazines with visual inspiration are stacked in corners and colourful accidents litter the floor.
This beautifully renovated warehouse includes: sculptors, filmmakers, painters, jewellers and multimedia artists. In this building, a budding community is developing with artists who are discussing, collaborating and working harmoniously in a completely open concept space.
This open house will be an opportunity for the tenants, the art community and their neighbours in the King West Village to experience art in the "raw".
Talk with the artists, listen to live DJ's , view the art and celebrate the King West renaissance.
